For generations of Americans, The Saturday Evening Post was a mirror of American society. I am proud that my father, Norman Rockwell, painted 322 covers for this magazine over a 47-year period, and I am always amused and delighted to see the artwork for these covers wherever it is displayed.
Now, the best of these covers, along with other significant covers from other talented artists, are included in an exciting new collection. Each Saturday Evening Post cover is meticulously reproduced in full color on a beautiful silver and gold ingot.
I know that my father and the other fine artists would approve of this wonderful collection. It embodies the spirit of my father's art and captures the romance of The Saturday Evening Post, while at the same time creating an enduring collection that will be treasured for many years to come.
I urge you to join me in experiencing the beauty and history of The Saturday Evening Post Collection.
"Without thinking too much about it in specific terms, I was showing the America I knew and observed to others who might not have noticed. My fundamental purpose is to interpret the typical American. I am a story teller."-Norman Rockwell
